Filling out the owner surrender request does not mean that your dog will be taken to the rescue. We are an entirely foster-based rescue with limited resources which determine the amount of dogs we are able to have in our care.
How it works:
You sign your dog over to our rescue
You become the foster, so your dog stays in a familiar environment
We provide support, (vaccines/spay/neuter), and market your dog to find the perfect adopter
We screen all applicants, do home checks, and finalize the adoption
We will allow out of state partcipants, but the owner must cover this personal dog’s vet care with required vaccinations and surgery.
We will only provided vet care for dogs able to be brought to Tallahassee where our vets are located.
This keeps dogs out of overcrowded shelters, reduces the trauma of bouncing between homes, and helps us help more dogs — safely and responsibly.
Note: Only some dog surrenders will be eligible. We base this on behavior and major medical concerns.
